  At the Assembly... Did you catch that talk about encouraging young ones to pursue a career in the ministry? ...and what about that 'murmuring'

  yes, i heard that talk where apparently (in my wife's circuit that is) there are 5 times as many pioneers over 50 or 60 than there are amongst the younger people.

  there was also 3 or 4 times as many elders and ms's amongst the elderly than there are amongst young people.

  the message, parents, friends, encourage your young ones to pursue an education and a career in the ministry.

  You wanna know something worse than not furthering education, most devout witlesses home school their kids so they can start pious-sneering early; this is a growing trend.

  In my conned-green-nation we have 9 children under 18 and NONE of them got to public school. They are all being pushed to peruse the ministry and, when you speak to them, you can tell that they don't possess the same basic knowledge and ability that even a public school attendee, of the same age, has.

  This makes the future pretty bleak for most witless children because the suitable education, experience and skills, both social and metal, that civic instruction provides is being purposely withheld so when they become adults, and need income, they’ll essentially be unemployable.

  When was the last time a job application asked how good of a minister you were?

  NEVER, they ask about experience and education!

  i've read a lot of terry's posts lately, and while i am not as eloquent and creative as he is, i'd like to post what i am finally able to express with words (more or less).. .

  just compare what the wt says to the rank and file to what politicians say to prospective voters.

  politicans are always promising something better.

  A promise is a promise and when unfulfilled it becomes a lie, even if the original statement was true.

  WTBT$ has made promises after promises that never come to fruition, like a spree of bad check writing.

  They know there's no "money in the bank" to back their PROMISARRY notes but that doesn't stop them; and according to the law a bad check, no matter how large or small, that does not clear is fraud.

  The WTBT$ has been committing emotional and spiritual fraud for over a millennia now.

  So why do so many, in or out, keep trying to cash their checks?

  I think this is why they print so much new literature.

  They keep witlesses so preoccupied with the noo shight that they don't have the time, or mental energy, to compare it with the old shight.

  By making the generalizing statement “slaves make mistakes", they are absolving themselves from blame.

  Because if you don't understand, forgive, forget or accept these mistakes it's your fault, not ours.

  It's like taking a starving person and telling them they'll get to eat real soon just wait a little while longer, then pipe in scents of delicious food as a decoy; now the individual is eagerly looking forward to this long awaited feast. During this time the deprived person never realizes that the meal is never coming, there is no food at all, it was all a lie; however they sit at the table salivating.

  That's what wash-towel does, they promise the end and a wonderful paradise soon just wait a little while longer, then they pipe in fluff to keep you hoping and hooked; the reality is there is nothing coming, they're just toying with you.

  i asked her: "hypothetically..., what if the mormons were the ones with the true religion?

  would you think it would be fair or loving for god to destroy you, me and our child, just because we didn't respond to them at the door?".

  she didn't really have much of an answer...i hope it will kick in some "deep thoughts".

  most of the website vistors and members have experience the wonderful conditional love (if not, why are you here?

  ), by the followers of the watchtower society.

  feel the love "that no other organization or group of men and women have experienced" or was it elusive during your tour of the religion?

  I'm a born-in and find witlesses far less loving than those who are "worldly".

  I've also seen that they are significantly more manipulative, and deceitful too.

  i've noticed an attitude among the friends that they feel that they are owed something by society.

  example: at the last meeting one of the elders gave a talk about how "the system" is getting harder and harder to make a living.. .

  i know its a recession out there, but to blame satan the devil for your economic woes is kinda harsh don't you think.

  Isn't it nice that witlesses always have a bad guy to blame instead of taking responsibility?

  My uncle always said, "never hire another JW because besides being lazy, self entitled, and unskilled they'll run to the elders if you have any problem with them and then you'll get in trouble for their indiscretion".

  Facebook and employment interviews

  listening to this in the news got me infuriated!.

  there is a growing trend that employment interviewers are asking for facebook profile with login password.. they are looking into everything you post.. there is no law in the books to prevent this!.

  even though i'm self employed, i think this goes beyond what's required of hirees!.
